What do all of these candidates for the Tennessee General Assembly have in common this year?
They are all too extreme on abortion.
In June, Rep. Mark White, Rep. Chris Hurt and Sen. Todd Gardenhire all voted for an extremist law that criminalized all abortions in Tennessee—even in cases of rape and incest. (SB 2196, 2020)
This law would force your wife or daughter to carry a rapist’s child.
It is one of the most extreme abortion bans in the country.
These views on abortion are completely out of touch with Tennesseans, who believe a woman and her family should decide what healthcare is best for their family — not politicians.
We have to send White, Hurt and Gardenhire home where they won’t be able to use our healthcare or women’s reproductive health as a bargaining chip.
And we have to defeat political newcomers Diane Canada, Patricia Possel and John Gillespie who have made it clear they will vote lockstep with the extreme supermajority to take away every family’s right to private healthcare decisions.
